NUTRITION & WELLNESS PHILOSOPHY

Rochelle is passionate about nutrition. She is committed to guiding each client towards optimal health through a balanced lifestyle, facilitating wholesome eating habits, encouraging physical activity, and promoting a positive relationship with food.  She is devoted to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and versatile nutrition therapy to clients pursuing their health and wellness goals.

Rochelle uses a highly personal approach with the understanding that each client’s needs are unique.  She prides herself on customizing nutritional plans, taking into consideration one’s goals, food preferences, and lifestyle.  By providing her clients with tools, strategies, support, and inspiration, Rochelle strives to enable clients to learn to make sensible food choices so that they might enjoy the benefits of a more energized, vibrant life. 

BIOGRAPHY

Rochelle Sirota is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a New York State Licensed Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) who has been offering nutrition consulting services in New York City for the past 20 years. Rochelle holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics from CUNY at Hunter College and a Master of Science Degree in Applied Physiology and Nutrition from Teachers College, Columbia University, New York.   She completed her dietetic internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

She worked as the outpatient nutritionist at Lenox Hill Hospital for 10 years, as a nutrition consultant at the 92nd Street Y’s Coronary Detection and Intervention Center, at the Printing House Fitness Center, at the Cornell Club Fitness Center, at Shearson Lehman’s Employee Fitness Center, at St. Lukes-Roosevelt United Weight Control Program, and as a consulting clinical nutritionist at the Gramercy Cardiac Diagnostic Center.  Before returning to school to earn her graduate degree, Rochelle spent one year among the staff at Dr. Robert Atkins’ Center for Complimentary Medicine.

Prior to opening her private practice in 2003, Rochelle was in a group of clinical nutritionists in private practice in New York City, and served as a clinical nutrition consultant for several medical doctors affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital and with New York Hospital.

Rochelle is a Registered Dietitian (RD), a State Licensed Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN), and a long-time member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA), Greater New York Dietetic Association (GNYDA), and of the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI).
